Where the climate and water conditions are favorable for natural  bigmouth bass. Striped bass are also plentiful at certain times of the year. Many Bigmouth bass in the six to twelve pound class are caught regularly in our area. Bream and black crappie (Speckled perch) also grow large in the St. John’s river. Bream over one pound and crappie over two pounds are not uncommon.  Shrimp in the fall months are found in abundance in the St. John’s river too.

We are a short cast by boat from some of the most famous bass fishing waters in the country. Lake George, Hog Island, Drayton Island, Salt Springs Run, Silver Glenn Springs, Rodman reservoir, Oklawaha river, Dunns creek, and Crescent lake.

For those who do not have their own boats, we have fully rigged bass boats, and pontoon boats at reasonable rates for rent. For those interested in a guide, we have access to the finest self-employed, professional guides in the area. For those fisherman not wishing a guide, we will assist you in any way we can to insure a good catch.

If you care to take a day off for sightseeing, many of Florida’s top attractions are one to two hours, a short drive from Bass World Lodge. Some of these include historic St. Augustine, Daytona Beach, and Silver Springs. A trip to either Disney World, Universal Studios, or Sea World are a nice day trip. Nearby is an eighteen hole regulation golf course less than a mile from our lodge.

We feature clean, modern, individual rental units. We have one bedroom up to Five bedroom units. All of which include television, air conditioning, heating for your comfort. All of our housekeeping units have complete kitchen facilities with coffee makers and microwave ovens, toasters,dishes, pots and pans and basic utensils. many with screened porches. Our game room right next to our picnic pavilion has a pool table, . All linens are supplied; all you need is your groceries and clothes.

Other services and facilities include: Bait and tackle shop, Gas and oil, covered boat slips with electricity, concrete launching ramp, guide service.
